| Overview: |
Microbiology Department consists of Central Clinical Lab. and Academic Microbiology Department in College. The Central Lab has Culture & Sensitivity Section, Serology (Bacteriology Section), Immunology, Parasitology, Mycology Sections where all the investigations of in and out patients done. The Department is running 24 hours, all the days, Regular CME, Seminars and Interdepartmental Meetings to maintain quality. Academic Department has Practical Lab, Demonstration Rooms equipped to teach 150 students, Museum has charts and models to facilitate teaching , Library department and Research Lab.

| Course Curriculum: |
Course consists of general & systemic bacteriology, immunology, virology, mycology, parasitology & clinical microbiology to teach 150 students- 150 Hrs. for didactic lodieres, 50 Hrs. for demonstration, 50 Hrs. for tutorials & 100 Hrs. for Practical. |

| Departmental Activities: |

Teaching to Undergraduate (MBBS) Students, Nursing and Physiotherapy Students; Teaching of M.Sc (Medical Microbiology) Candidates; carrying out routine laboratory diagnostic work of indoor and outdoor patients; carrying out executive health check up investigations; conducting tutorials for undergraduates and conducting various Semesters and Internal Examinations; carrying out hospital inspection central work. Department has also collaboration with Government of Rajasthan for Tuberculosis work (RNTCP Center). |

| Ongoing Research projects: |
- Bacteriological study of uropathogens in OPD & hospitalized Patients with special reference to their antimicrobial susceptibility & ESBL production.
- Incidence of Inducible clindamycin resistance in Staphylococcus aureus.
