Pharmacology
Overview:

Pharmacology is the science of drugs. It embraces the knowledge of the source, physical and chemical properties, compounding, physiological actions, absorption, fate and excretion, adverse effects and therapeutic uses of drugs. To the students, pharmacological details are valueless unless he/she is able to apply this information in practice of medicine and also rational use of medicines is impossible without a proper understanding of their basic pharmacology, therefore this subject is the back-bone of rational therapy.
